	What is Anemia? Symptoms While the cancer itself could cause similar symptoms, they can also be side effects of treatment. Have you noticed any of the following symptoms since you began your chemotherapy? If so, your doctor can perform a simple blood test to see if you have anemia. Severe fatigue not relieved by resting Extreme weakness Shortness of breath Rapid heartbeat or palpitations Headaches, dizziness, or faintness Paleness Difficulty sleeping Trouble concentrating or paying attention Irritability, tearfulness, or moodiness
