Project Manager

Essential Duties:
Acts as the representative of Company in the management of the planning, design and construction of new construction, renovation and major plant maintenance projects
  • Manages the design and development phases of assigned projects through regular meetings with consultants, contractors and medical group representatives to ensure that planned additions or changes to facilities meet needs of the Company and the Medical Groups.
  • Evaluates the need for outside consulting services (i.e. architects, engineers, etc.); develops specifications and schedules for work to be performed by consultants; evaluates bids received and makes. recommendations to the Managing Director of Facilities Operations regarding acceptance of consultant bids
  • Plans and schedules construction activities to provide for orderly and expeditious completion of projects with minimum disruption to medical group services.
  • Supervises preparation of construction bid documents, prepares change orders and work orders for consultants and contractors. Reviews and recommends approval of vendor payment applications. Ensures corporate compliance with specifications of contracts and work orders through site inspections and other techniques as needed, and approves payments for work satisfactorily performed.
  • Prepares status reports on progress of assigned projects.
  • Perform regular inspections of Medical Center appearance, identify Medical Center cosmetic appearance deficiencies and initiate maintenance repairs and upgrades as required in accordance with HIP Standards.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a professional degree in architecture, engineering, construction or facilities management
  • Five (5) years experience in the design and construction industry (to include project management experience)
  • Relevant work experience and responsibilities can be substituted for specific degree.
