Director, Information Management

Essential Duties:
  • Management, control, administration, budgeting and execution for full life cycle Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects
  • Maintain overall project plan and resource management, including determination of resource role assignments
  • Navigate project politics, coordinate project efforts with all business groups and project work teams
  • Facilitate and lead the gathering, consolidation and prioritizing of client business requirements
  • Documentation and presentation of business requirements for a variety of audiences including executive sponsors, end users and technical designers
  • Create end state functional business intelligence vision and implementation plan
  • Mentor and engage in the design ETL processes and data mappings as well as report and analytics design
  • Oversight and/or coordination of all project phases from strategy and requirements to deployment
  • Problem and issue resolution, mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Participation in proposal development and client presentations

Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 7-10 years experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level data warehouse and business intelligence solutions
  • Expertise with structure methodologies and data warehousing frameworks such as Star Schema Concepts (i.e. Snowflake)
  • Strong data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design), experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts
  • Strong RDBMS knowledge of Oracle (release 9i and 10g), DB2
  • Implementation experience with ETL concepts and tools such as: Informatica, DataStage
  • Implementation experience with the following BI/Enterprise Reporting tools: Cognos, Business Objects, Oracle Discoverer
  • Functional knowledge of Java and J2EE integration technologies
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess exceptional client management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
