If you are a member:

Whether you have a question about your coverage or claim status or want to know more about our benefits and services, you can get the answers you need by:

  • E-mailing our Customer Service department.

  • Trying the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) feature of 1-800-HIP-TALK (1-800-447-8255). The IVR lets you check your eligibility, order an ID card and request certain forms and literature without speaking to a Customer Service Advocate. It's your best bet for getting fast service, anytime, day or night.

  • Calling  1-800-HIP-TALK   (1-800-447-8255), Monday  through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm to speak directly with a Customer Service Advocate. TDD: 1-888-447-4833, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. One of our advocates will assist you.

If you are not a member and would like to learn more about HIP and its Plans, please contact us at the following number 800-447-7187 Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and a representative will be glad to provide information and assist you with any questions you may have.

If you are a provider or hospital:

You can get answers to your questions by:

  • E-mailing our Provider Relations department.

  • Calling HIP's Provider IVR System at 1-877-833-2729. The Provider IVR lets you access member eligibility, check on the status of a member referral as well as submit a member referral without speaking to a provider relations associate. It's your best bet for getting fast service, anytime, day or night.

  • Calling our Provider Relations department at 1-800-447-8275, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

If you are a benefits administrator:

You can get answers to your questions by:

  • Calling our  Marketing  department at 1-888-839-7375, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.

  • Calling your HIP representative or broker.

If you are a broker:
